Black eyes with eyeglasses on; long hair always tied in back; yellow skin, big face, all those characteristics make up a common appearance of a Chinese girl. That's me, a sixteen year old girl whose name is Xing Hui.

I'm a flexible person. I like to help and share my laughter with other people. I like to play on computer, listen to music and read. My favorite subject is English. English language is totally different from Chinese. Learning English is a big challenge for me. During the learning process, all my teachers, friends and family members have provided me a great assistance, especially my parents. My parents' behavior strongly influenced my values. My parents worked so hard to make my life better. That's why they bought us to the country of dream, America. I know my parents want me to be a successful person. My family moved here in 1994. Moving to United States made big changes in my life. After living here for several years, I adopted to this new environment. I love New York City because it is like a melting pot, people came from all over the world and settled here. Besides the cultural diversity, New York is one of the biggest cities in the world, it contains most advanced technology. New York City always is an immigrant's best choice.

I am a junior. I have a special feeling about Murry Begtraum High School. In this high school, I found out my way of life. I experienced different things that make me grow mature. I realized that if I didn't treat my work seriously, I was wasting my time. If I waste my time, that is considered as wasting my life. For this incoming semester, I expect to learn more English vocabulary. I hope I could learn more computer knowledge and catch up on every thing. My short-term goal is to pass all the regents and SAT examination, so I can graduate from high school. My long-term goal is to attend a good college and continue my education. I want to be a teacher in the future. I believe that teacher's job is so sacred. I hope I would have a chance to travel around the world. I hope all my dreams could be true one day, and I am trying my best to achieve my goals.
