A biography of Edgar Allen Poe

Edgar Allen Poe was born in 1809 on Boston. When he was 2 years old, his father abandoned him, then his mother died, they left 3 children. John Frances Allen adapted Poe. However, Frances didn't want to take the responsibility. Frances treated him so badly. He just gave Poe so little money, Poe couldn't afford to buy books, so he gamble, which led him to owe debt and Mr.Allen refused to pay.

Before Poe died, life was never easy. He was almost an unknown person. He died at age 40. Poe drank little alcohol; he took a drug called Opium. He said opium help him in imagination. Poe fell in love with his neighborhood Elmina Rsystes, Her father disapproved. Poe wrote many letters to her but her father intercepted Poe's letters. Elmina through Poe didn't like her anymore, she married with another person. Poe felt very sad. He wrote the "lost love" for her. Later on, Poe married with a young girl, Virginia. Poe was 27 years old and Virginia was just 13. Poe supported them by writing and editing. Because of Poe's wild behavior, make him became the enemy of other authors because he was criticizing and reviewing other authors' work. When Virginia died Poe married with a rich woman to support him. Unfortunately, two weeks later, he died. Poe was the first person who wrote the detective stories.
