Ah---- St Patrick's Day; "the wearing-o-the green;" the long winter hibernation will soon be just a memory and spring is right around the corner. And with spring comes the warmer weather; time to get the cycle ready for the spring riding season, dust off the lawn furniture, and get out the barbeque grill!
Wait-- there is something else-- let me see-- OH YES; it's our anniversary! Haven't forgot it in 18 years and I'm not about to start now! We planned on getting married on that day anyway, but I've always thought how fortunate I was; when I see the St Patty's Day cards out, I automatically think; annivarsary; how can I forget?
The old adage, "opposites attract," is very true in our case; we are almost direct opposites in most things. I have always enjoyed individual activities such as: weightlifting, motorcycling, bowling, and working on this computer; while Nance is the communicator of the family. She likes babysitting, getting together with her rather large family, and talking on the phone. She does'nt know how I can sit at this computer for hours by myself typing out these pages and I can't figure how she can sit and talk on the phone so long; I could give someone my complete life history in about 20 minutes. But everything works for us; we each respect the others strong points. Our marriage is a sharing of our lives; each contributing something that the other can't. I love her for giving me the space to be what I need to be and she loves me for the same reason. I say to her; "Happy 18th Anniversary Babe, I love you!"
