Other Interesting Places on the Trip
Rothenburg fountain
When we lived in Germany, we were only around 20 miles from Rothenburg,
an authentic medieval walled city. It's kind of a tourist center,
but there are crowds of tourists because it's well worth seeing.
It's been kept in pretty much its original condition,
and it's kept clean (like everything else in Germany) and attractive.
For us, it was nice to see something that hadn't changed in the last 30 years.
This is the Rathaus square. Herterichsbrunnen (Herterich's well),
sometimes called St. George's well because of the St. George figure on it.
