St. Petersburg, Russia
Cathedral of the Resurrection
![]() This is the Cathedral of the Resurrection in St. Petersburg.
It was put up at the place where Czar Alexander II was assassinated.
The interior includes the part of the roadway at the edge of the canal
that was stained with the Czar's blood, and that accounts for why
it juts out into the canal.
This is no doubt the most colorful and beautiful cathedral we saw in all of Russia.
Trust me that if we'd had time to get to the sunny side
I'd have taken several spectacular pictures.
