Cigar Review
The Predator Churchill
This is now the fourth cigar review that I've done,
so please, take a minute to let me know if I
suck at this or if I'm
not doing too bad for a novice.
Here we go:
VITAL STATISTICS
Make: The Predator
Model: Churchill
Color: Natural
(regular visitors will notice the abscence of the
car joke.)
Size: 7.5 x 50
Country:Filler and binder are Nicaraguan and Dominican, with a Nicaraguan
wrapper.
Price: Not sure, as I was sent this cigar to try
Construction: I only had one
of these to try, but it was rolled well. It felt very solidly filled. The
cap was finished fairly well.
Cutting/Lighting: It cut and lit well, and kept a pretty even burn.
How it smoked: This cigar had a nice draw, and was pleasant to smoke. It was mild, and had some nice flavors. If you can't tell from reading my reviews, I like Nicaraguan cigars, and this was less full-flavored than some, but was a nice, light smoke that had good, yet weak, flavors. There was a faint chocolatey aftertaste that was very nice. It had a fairly solid ash, but a little flaky, and a nice shade of light grey. It stayed lit while I was typing this review, so it may be a good cigar during those times when you could be distracted.
Cigar Aficionado: I couldn't find a CA rating for this cigar. If you can find it, let me know, and I will publish it.
Final Impressions: I don't know where to find this cigar. I had never heard of it before it was sent to me. The price that I have in the info I was sent may or may not be the retail price, but if it is the retail price, these are a pretty good deal. My information is that these are only sold at exclusive clubs. If you ever run across the Predator, give it a try, especially if the price is under $4. I give it a 7.4 out of 10 based on the good burn and construction, and the slightly weak flavors.
