Here we go again! The ASC Secret Santa Program 1999 is under way!  If you have been a participant before, welcome back!  If you are a first timer, this is your chance to see what all the fuss is about.

Just like always, anyone who wishes to truly remain "secret" can use my address as the return address. It will be sent to you along with the name of your recipient. If the package is returned, it will come to me and I can try to track down the intended recipient, and if it is received, no one will know from whence it truly came. (Of course, if you want to meet a new friend, feel free to include your name, email address, shoe size, pictures of your kids, etc...)

And if anyone wants to send me cigars for all this work I've done (shameless mooch, I know) they will have my address ;-)

Please RE-read these carefully, (even if you memorized them last year,) there have been some changes/additions, and commit them to memory, print this page, etc. to ensure that everything runs smoothly.  Each year, the program gets bigger and bigger, and things get a little more complex....

When do I register?
Registration is open and will be open until NOVEMBER 30 at 11 PM EST!!! I MUST have your registration confirmed by then! Please register by November 28 to insure that you have adequate time to confirm your registration.


When will I know who I'm supposed to ship to?

You will receive the name and address of the person you are sending to sometime before December 14. If you don't get a name by the 15th, email me, because that means that your email address bounced. Also, watch the newsgroup for posts with "EMERGENCY SECRET SANTA" in the subject line. If you see one, please, please, PLEASE, read it.
 
I will try to get all the emails out by the 10th so you will have two weeks until Christmas Day. I will be extremely busy with other obligations, and unable to check my mail regularly between the 18th and 26th, so if you have a problem, let me know immediately.
 
Please send out your gift SOON!! I would like everyone to have their cigars by Christmas Day, which happens to fall on DECEMBER 25 this year, and there is nothing wrong with sending out your gift so it arrives early. I'm sure no one will complain if they get their cigars on the 15th.


What should I send?

You must send out at least 4 cigars. Remember, you will get at least 4 cigars, so you will at least break even. You may send out any assortment you like, but remember, I know who you sent to, and they know my email address. If I get complaints, I WILL EMBARRASS YOU PUBLICLY, YOU CHEAPSKATE!!!


How should I ship the cigars?

VERY IMPORTANT THIS YEAR!!  USE A TRACEABLE SHIPPING METHOD!  Priority Mail has delivery confirmation available, and UPS/FEDEX is always traceable.


What else do I need to know?

Please, if you just don't like the cigars you got, don't complain to me. If you get Swishers, then you can complain.
IF YOU AREN'T GOING TO MAIL OUT THE CIGARS, DON'T BOTHER SIGNING UP!!! Again, I know who you were supposed to mail to, and if I hear that you didn't send out the cigars, I WILL EMBARASS YOU PUBLICLY, YOU CHEAPSKATE!!! If you hate the person you're sending cigars to, I don't care. Just send them, and next year you won't have to play.
 
If you haven't received your cigars by January 10th, email me and we will try to figure out the problem...
