Medical Treatment Temporary Visa
Australia has excellent hospital facilities and medical treatment centres (including organ transplants, heart surgery, donor programs). Many people travel from neighbouring countries to take advantage of Australian health care.
There are some regulations and charges which can make visa application a lengthy process. It's worthwhile checking with Australian Visas before your health is an emergency, or you have paid out money to the Australian government for a visa.
