Cyclist Discovers Third Type of Vitamin C

In the Dutch seaside town of Noordwijk aan Zee (by the sea) a visiting cyclist discovered that in addition to regular vitamin C and chocolate, there is a third type of vitamin C. In a beachside gelato stand (Rob's Ijshuis), the cyclist was observed tasting appeltaart (apple pie) gelato which is apple flavored gelato with cinnamon on top. He was said (to quote Emma Peel) to have found it unassuming, yet dull. He also sampled the chocolate gelato. He was said to have found it satisfying, yet adequate. Lastly, he chose a flavor on the far left, politically and geographically speaking. A purplish colored confection that looked like frozen poi called Cassis.

Regular vitamin C (Vitamin C1) makes the consumer feel better physically by fighting off colds. Chocolate (Vitamin C2) makes the consumer feel better mentally by coating the brain's synapses with a highly conductive layer. Cassis (Vitamin C3) makes the consumer feel better emotionally by creating a feeling of euphoria.

Cassis does not, apparently, have the same affect upon all personalities. An Odyssey2000 whiner after sampling Vitamin C3 began to complain that it tasted horrible and it was Tim's fault, "'cause Tim shoulda ..." but was cut short when a two year old child, who was more mature, slapped the whiner on her underused calf muscle.

The cyclist who discovered the euphoric powers of Vitamin C3 vowed to do further testing of Cassis and other flavors on repeated visits. As the aloha shirt clad cyclist rode away, he was heard to chirp, "ohboy-ohboy-ohboy!"

Further research by this intrepid reporter revealed that Cassis is Dutch for black currant; a flavor which also can be found in the form of exquisite pies. When found in crustless pies (open top) the vitamin takes on the form of C3PO. (Gratuitous bad pun.)

It was also discovered that Dutch radio announcers sound like bad imitations of the Swedish Chief but aren't nearly as funny.

Happy Trails,
