WISCONSIN & MICHIGAN

ETT # 13, 12-23-1901 .pdf only

The original W&M was a line from Peshtigo, WI to Iron Mt, MI. They had a car barge that would float ore cars and others to Chicago. They had shops in Menominee, MI (trackage rights over MILW at Bagley Jct.). Some track and bridges are still in place in Peshtigo. At least two depots are still standing. The line was removed in 1938. And the scrap steel was sold to Japan, were they kindly sent it back - one bullet at a time.
