A world apart, Hong Kong is often called "The New York of Asia". Yet the glittering skyscrapers can never obscure the ancient oriental ways that colour everyday life in this magical city.
The noisy, exciting, brash metroplois where skyscrapers rise above crowded shop-filled avenues and alleyways, where a forest of neon lights, restaurants, bazaars and nightclubs jostle for your attention, is my last destination delight.
After seeing and travelling so much in just three weeks I have opted to experience some luxury. I have booked into a hotel in Kowloon, Harbour City for five nights. The hotel is situated near the star ferry which will take me from Kowloon across the famous Hong Kong Harbour, or alternatively a five minute journey on the Mass Transit Railway (MTR) and I will be on Hong Kong Island amid the hustle and bustle of the business and nightlife sector.
On the 1st of May I leave Hong Kong and head back to London Heathrow with only memories of this holiday of a lifetime left.
