Hi,
Busy travelling up and down but unfortunately haven't even started sight-seeing yet except for the route from the apartment to Mitsubishi in Rangsit (one hour). Every morning I wake up at 5.30am (Malaysian time is 6.30am) and wonder what the heck I'm doing up so early. Can't sleep after that and so normally watch the tv aimlessly as nothing much catches interest. Ready for breakfast by 7.15am. Leave residence at 8am with other colleagues in two vans. Reach workplace - work lah. Good news - 1 Thai leng chai right in front of me (left side) and 1 Thai leng chai on right side (I sit at end corner in a big project room with no partitions at all). Bad news - my heart still beat normal. It only beats a bit faster when project manager around.
Look forward to lunchtime. Eat at cafeteria which prepare our meals (RM4 per meal). Thai style. So far, all yum-yum. Rice, 3 dishes, 1 bowl of chilli padi, 1 soup, 1 sweet dessert and 1 plate of fruit. 5.30pm - Mitsubishi people leave after work. We are still there. Say bye-bye only at 7pm. Reach apartment - 8pm.
So, too late for jalan-jalan and most importantly no kaki jalan. My colleagues are real busy (I'll be too but later) - when they go back, they normally work a few more hours on their notebook. The only way to is to stay over the weekend. Good news - this weekend my colleagues go to Ayuthaya (Ayuthia). Bad news - I have to come back this weekend as I'll be flying to Singapore for training next week.
Talk about coincidence. Last email, I said the room lacks a plant and flourescent light and a view. This week, I got one that quite has all three.
I went to a restaurant in a shopping complex nearby last week and order hot sour soup and fried noodles with chicken and chilli (turned out to be like char kuay teow). The waiter told me with bulging eyes - "Very hot dish". No problemo. It came with lots of chilli padi (the noodles) but it's as hot as our Malaysian Ayam Brand chilli tuna.
When came back in cab, first time encounter chicken and duck talk situation with Thai driver on directions to go back to the apartment.
Can't really talk about people in my project yet. To be honest, I haven't got warm with the people much. There's so little interaction and I'm not one who's starts a conversation and keeps one too.
Gotta go. Not very emotional - not good for writing mood. Maybe next time...
Regards,
Li Li
