Hi,
I don't think I will have much adventures for now since I'm starting on my new job and wouldn't want to take any leaves at the moment. As for the weekend adventures, I've pretty much covered Klang Valley & Seremban recreation areas. And to be honest, I do feel my life is fulfilled after fulfilling my mom's wish to visit China. In other words, I've basically done the most important things I want in life and I'm just cured of my "kaki gatal" (itchy legs!) disease. But of course, I've still many places which I would like to visit - they will be achieved in good time.
So far, my new job has been great. Probably because I haven't started to work on a project yet! I like being at the office - the fridge is filled with can drinks, packet drinks, pasteurized milk and fruit juice boxes. It's a relaxed atmosphere whereby one of the bosses even asks us to 'chill out'. I can wear jeans to work - yeah even to client's place. That's the coolest rule I feel we have.
I bet there are some 'down' sides of this place too - yet to find out. I'm the superstitious type and I believe everything has its good and bad side. The important thing is how we view it and handle it.
You might question which company I'm at but ever since Samsung job and joining the consulting firms, I feel that it is not right to reveal where I've been because sometimes I'll talk bad about a company which isn't right in the first place and in the second place, I'm publishing this on the web and that's certainly not a good thing.
I've been busy on weekends lately. There was once I went to Bali (the restaurant, pool & pub near Motorola) again - this time with my roomates. Gui and I were treating Amy since she just finished her exams and we owed her a belated birthday gift. We also sent her to the KLIA airport on Sunday for her flight back to Miri. The day before, Gui, Ah Tiong, Keen Wu and I went for a jog at Bukit Kiara recreational park. It's a new place we haven't been to. The trek was 'killing'. I think it's better to walk. Lots of steep uphills and downhills.
There were lots of meeting coincidences with some old friends this month. I met Norliah, a secondary schoolmate - haven't seen her for 9 years since Form 5. She's a school teacher now. Then I met Choy Hong, a week after, also for 9 years since Form 5. Met her at Mint Hotel when I was there with Gui to meet with her sister. And Choy Hong passed my handphone to another 9-years-have-not-met secondary schoolmate, Chin Chun. We later met at her workplace near Kerinchi LRT station. I haven't seen a more enthusiastic and happy person in work before. She's really done well for herself - travelling to lots of places and meeting people.
I also met Suzana, my ex-coursemate, whom I haven't seen since graduation. But the best coincidence of all would be Norhanita - my ex-primary classmate. That would be 15 years since I last saw her!!! Furthermore, we're now working in the same building. She's working in BBMB personal banking. What a wonder that I got to meet her!
A few days ago, met up with EC and it's wonderful to see her again after her couple of months in Belgium. I must say that changes in life for me and for my friends are quite enormous compared to when we were back in school.
So, it's wonderful hearing stories from all these friends of yours and discover that although they look the same, their thinking have matured with wisdom!
Regards,
Li Li
