Hi,
The Hari Raya Haji holidays has been a blessing for my tired soul. I also took leave on Friday. Spent Thursday with hometown friends and Phyllis Lee whom I haven't seen for 4 years after she went to US. She came back with her Malaysian boyfriend for a coupla weeks.
We went to Port Dickson beach as it was not far away. Initially we thought we'll just go there to have a lunch by the beach at a hotel. Somehow we ended up having a nice walk on the beach at the Blue Lagoon side.
I actually had a great time 'coz initially I thought the beach would be dirty with a lot of people. Then it turns out that most people are already back at their hometown to celebrate the Haji holidays. So the beach was comparatively deserted.
I hadn't thought about it until just now that I just simply love the seaside. It just puts a smile on my face.
Mai Cheng and I tried canoeing for half an hour. It was great! I loved it although I actually got a bit dizzy due to lack of sleep recently.
The remaining weekend I spent on watching movies - At First Sight (half of it), Sleepy Hollow, Bicentinnial Man and The Green Mile. Whew! That's a whole lot of shows huh?
No reviews here except that I'd like to mention that I had too much expectation of The Green Mile. It was definitely a very good show but I kept comparing it to The Shawshank Redemption. Anyhow, the latter had a better ending which was probably why I liked it in the first place. I also think that the show should have shown more of John Coffey. I liked all the other characters (including Mr. Jingles) which I thought developed pretty well.
Gotta run. Pretty busy lately.
Regards,
