Hi people!
Grateful:
-----------
That today is a public holiday - especially when I'm from Samsung (those working shift
still have to work though). Why I'm grateful? Because I'm extremely.....
Tired:
--------
Was on a "Bina Negara Course" in Alor Gajah, Melaka from Wednesday till Saturday.
The course was about knowing yourself, building good characteristics for yourself, your
company and your nation. There were talks, group activities, foot-drill, exercises and
best of all on the last day... jungle trekking! Some of the talks were boring - for a
person who's read some self-help books, these stuff become predictable and therefore no
more exciting. However, certain activities have been an eye-opener of which I hope I can
pass on to others. Can't explain here though cause it needs some action involved.
I hate to say this but I'm really getting old.... Get tired so easily. Not helped by the fact that I haven't got a good day's rest for ages. Right after the athletics events last Saturday, we took a walk around the stadium area 'coz the LRT was congested at that time. And what a coincidence that I met with Keen Wu and Ah Tiong at the Keris. Gave them the Tasik Bera photos which I brought should we meet there at 5pm.
It was nearly twelve midnight and the crowd was still enormous at the LRT. Anyhow, we had to go home and it was a nice surprise to learn that the ride was free! Reached Onn Wei's house by taxi by about 12.40pm.
Next morning, we went back to Bukit Jalil for the diving preliminaries event. This time, the atmosphere was not as exciting as the athletics. It was hard to identify the winners as the marks are given by the judges based on their performances for certain difficulty levels. Unfortunately, the men's event only came at 11.45am. Both of us did not wait for that hour for we would like to head back home. Lucky in the sense that we did manage to catch some of the guys in action - great bods and all, hee, hee.....
Getting back, I was so consumed by the ease of the swimmers at the pool that all I wanted was to get back into the swimming pool at Seremban myself! Which I did - I went for the afternoon swim and got a real nice tan.
However I'm ....
Sun-burned:
----------------
I'm a red lobster from yesterday's afternoon swim. Didn't have any sunblock on - padan
muka. Now the skin feels like burning but not that bad luckily. Today, went for the
evening sessin instead but boy, so very crowded that half the time I was not swimming but
actually trying to avoid from banging into other people!
I guess I'm so enthutiastic about swimming because I've finally learned freestyle! And plus the fact that I'm not fearful of the deep end of the pool anymore coz my "kick-stand" on water has been improving. My stamina for breastroke is great but it's the opposite for the freestyle.
Good-bye :
-------------
Gotta go. This maybe my last weekend stories series! No, I'm not tired of writing. Just
that I haven't enough time in a day to do so many things that I want to do. I must say
I'm having some trouble with time management. Sometimes you want to do so many things at
one time, you end up with nothing in the end. Which is why I always remember that story
someone emailed me regarding time management where you've got to do those more important
things first.
Currently watching a documentary which came right after X-files. It's about lions and best of all the commentor is Anthony Hopkins himself! He's on the safari! Wow... This I gotta see, so I'll leave you a sayonara note, okay?!!
Take care!
