Hi,
I'm back after a 'silent' period! Unfortunately, I haven't caught 'itchy legs' yet - meaning I haven't kept up my adventures of late.
I felt like updating the weekend stories today 'coz you know, I don't want the government coming right at me and inquiring whether my site has turned into a cobweb.
After my departure from Samsung on February 6. I had to rush to PJ to go 'room-hunting'. Glad that I found one (thanks to Gui's help) the next day.
Am lazing around till my next job starts at the end of February. Couldn't get a local tour on time but I did managed to go jalan-jalan with mom in K.L. Went swimming, watched VCD (Truman Show & Patch Adams), helped out my younger cousin sister on getting her new computer, got myself a scanner (as a result been scanning lots of photos!), helping with the household chores and reading.
'Theoritically' learned how to cook curry chicken and bake cakes. Yeah I know, me - the tomboy doing the feminine stuff. Ew, - very abnormal, eh? Well, no worry, still the same old me - just didn't wanna waste time doing nothing at home. Anyway, separating the egg yolk and egg white from an egg was quite a challenge for the first time. The rest should be 'kacang' (no problemo). However, looking at the ingredients, I lost my apetite on having cakes - so much of sugar and butter - my mind kept having this image of an artery clogging up with fat. Scary.
Read this book - 'Slowing down to the speed of life' - another one of those self-help books. Basically the title says it all - and it meant something to me 'coz I've got this fantastic cluttered mind till I make wrong decisions and outcomes. The book leaves a linger-on feeling (as if it hasn't explained enough) but one thing I like about its advice - on trusting the free-flowing mode 'coz I think I've really neglected this feeling for quite a long time. It's good to realize this after so long.
Well, gotta run. It's already Chinese New Year Day!
Regards,
Li Li
