Hi people!

Thinking back, I'm so glad I went to take my mom and my two younger cousins to Mines Wonderland two months ago. I think it was fated.
Firstly, I thought it was a great opportunity as I was free and I knew that things were likely to get hectic during the month of August.
Secondly, there was a promotion at the commuter station where for RM9/- a person, you get a return ticket between Seremban and Serdang station plus the entrance fee to Mines Wonderland.

Thirdly, after enjoying the commuter ride (a first for my cousins), I decided to get a cab from the Serdang station to Mines Shopping Complex even though it was a walkable distance. Reason being I didn't want mom to walk so much as she has a knee problem.
But getting down from the cab, the driver was asking for RM6 which was quite an exorbitant fee for a short ride. When argued that he should be running on meters, I decided finally just to pay up instead of making a big fuss out of it. We found out later the cab ride was meant to be taken as we arrived just in time for the musical fountain show at 8pm.

I didn't know why but I guess I kinda like musical fountain shows - waters dancing around, the appreciative crowd, the colours, etc... sigh.....
Well after that, it was a visit to the snow house. It was a disappointment unfortunately. The first time I went, the place was full of 'snow flakes'. This time - just a thin carpet of it. There was an igloo which you could crawl into to get warmth before. It was missing too.
There used to be an ice slide where children could sit and slide down a short distance. The slight is still there but it was barred from entry.
However, there were many ice sculptures on display depicting famous buildings like Australia's Opera House and The Petronas Twin Towers.
It was bitterly cold especially when I had to take out my bare hands from the warm pockets to take pictures. All in all, it was the coldness that was most memorable to us all. I was very happy that at least my mom has experienced it.
When it was time to catch our commuter home, we walked to the station instead of taking the cab. We reached home, Seremban at 11.30pm. I hope my younger cousin sister and brother and especially my mom had a nice time as I did.
Regards,
