CONNIE DOVER

Connie Dover

Connie Dover, with her crystal clear, beautiful voice sings traditional Irish, Scot and American songs. She has 3 albums so far, Somebody (1991), The Wishing Well (1994) and If Ever I return (1997). My personal favorite is 'Somebody'. She also sang with other groups/musicians as - the now defunct - Scartaglen, John Whelan, Roger Landes, just to name a few.

NANCI GRIFFITH

Nanci Griffith, with her beautiful voice & powerful lyrics is one of the best folk artist of our day.

Nanci just released a new album called 'Other Voices Too (A trip to Bountiful)', a 'sequel' of her 'Other Voices' album. It does not contain any of her songs. An excellent compilation album, with loads of guest musicians!

For the uninitiated, I'd reccomend her compilation album, 'The MCA years - A retrospective' or her live (in Houston) album, 'A fair summer evening'.
