We hunt on Texas Public Hunting Lands. Our $40.00 annual permit fee is very reasonable for a year's worth of hunting availability as well as making many of the areas available for camping during the rest of the year. Most of us hunt and camp more than just during deer season. (If your interested in the Texas public hunting lands program, click on the Texas Parks and Wildlife link below) My son's and I hunt squirrel as well as deer in the fall. We camp on the lands during the summer, as many are located on or very close to some major Texas lakes. Some areas even have hunting for feral hogs open all year round.

My son's and I, hunt primarily with either Blackpowder rifles or with modern centerfire single-shot rifles. Using single shot firearm's forces us to realize that no matter what, we will only get one shot so it had better be a good one.

. Well, at least this gives you a little idea as to what this page is going to be about. As I get it constructed, there will be pages where you can get to know each of the persons in our group, as well as read "tales" about out hunting trips and the things that occur in the field as well as in camp.
