25TH - 27TH PICKS

25th Pick - Phoenix Suns
Pick: Jaron Rush
Being punished by Shaquille O'Neal out of the playoffs, the Phoenix Suns are looking for a center. However, Colangelo has said that he doesn't believe that he can find a starting center with the 25th pick. They are most likely to take the best player avaliable. While the Phoenix Suns shopping around Shawn Marion as their biggest trade bait for a center, they would most certainly need athleticism that they will eventually lose. Jaron Rush might be just right here. Especially that Rex Champman is contemplating on retirement and Todd Day and Toby Bailey are free agents, choosing a player with Rush's potential would be a perfect fit. They could also package this pick for a center.
26th Pick - Utah Jazz

Pick: Hanno Mottola
With Karl Malone getting old, they need a power forward who could give him a spell and a future outlook also. Mottola would be a perfect fit for the Jazz. He has the brains and the work ethic to perfectly fit with the Jazz offensive and defensive schemes. Coming from University of Utah, Mottola would have no problem playing there.
27th Pick - Indiana Pacers

Pick: Jamal Crawford
Jalen Rose, Austin Croshere and Reggie Miller is a free agent. Rik Smits is about to retire and Chris Mullin is looking to go elsewhere to get the minutes. At this point, they actually need a center. However, the Pacers like players with potential. With this pick, they could not possibly replace Smits, so they would be looking to draft the best athlete. With Croshere, Miller and Rose as free agents, the cap room shows that they can at least bring 2 of the 3 back. Jamal Crawford could be the pick as an insurance for the player they are about to lose. Look for them to draft an athletic player or gamble with a center.
