Loren Woods

It was not long ago that Loren Woods' game was destroyed because of the pressure of living up to be "The Next Team Duncan" in Wake Forest. He was under pressure to perform and carry the whole Wake Forest team like Tim Duncan did. It was too much to expect from a young player just trying to make a new for himsel and not wanting to be someone else.

Finally, Woods decided to transfer to Arizona to salvage a once promising career. In Arizona, Woods looked to benefit for not being the only superstar in the team. He also looked to have a good coach Lou Olson who could help him in pressure situations.
In his first year in Arizona, he looked like the player they expected out of him. He was playing well both in the offense and defensive end. He showed tremendous improvement with his post moves. He was also intimidating the opponents in the other side of the floor by blocking their shots. Before he was injured, Woods had become a dominating force. He was playing in a 20pts and 10reb. caliber of player. Because of his talent and structure, Woods was called the next Tim Duncan. It was a nice complement but it was too much to expect too sooon. Woods benefited from the change of scenery and is thriving as a Arizona Wildcat.
Now, entering a new season. The Arizona Wildcats are one of the favorites to win it all. Hopefully, by staying injury free, Woods will show how good he really is. He may playing dominatingly against weak teams, but Woods must show that he can come up big when it counts. After all, prime-time players are made for big moments. He could also even more improve his post moves and develop an outside jumper. Loren Woods is the player who you can count on to develop his game and become the best player he can be.
