Championship Wrestling - A little History:
The
following is a brief history of UCW done by none other than the
booker hbk. So if you dislike this in anyway, find any spelling
mistakes or anything else you want changed, bitch to
him...
UCW
started by _Mankind_ on www.wwf.com IRC Server, at the middle of
August of 1997.
It
started with The World Title, US title and the Tag
Titles.
The UCW
Tag Titles were held first by AuSTiN and Extreme. The UCW TV Title was held first
by _DeReK_.
The US
Title was held by DarkDemon, And Since DarkDemon never showed up, the
Title was vacated.
The
World Title was held for a long Time By Flatline.
At
that Time, There was another Leauge, that started 3 months before
(June 1997) at the same server, the WWF Official
Server.
Because
the other C-Fed, Named The WWF (World Wrestling Federation) started
falling apart, it's Boss, hbk, came to both The then Presidennt of
UCW _Mankind_ and the Vice-prez _RaGe_ and suggested to Unite both Leauges. What hbk wanted
only, is to have the WWF Title and the WWF Intercontinental Title in
the UCW. The UCW Title was Renamed to the UCW-WWF title, and the
Intercontinental Title was named the UCW-WWF Intercontinental Title.
of course, today, no one cares (including hbk) bout the names, and it
is UCW World Title and UCW intercontinental Title.
period 1: RaGe
becomes the UCW President
The
First Title To change hands was the UCW TV Title, Which DeReK lost to
SRichards. At one point of time, it has been cleared to
everyone, that the person that was really doing the Job in UCW, was
the Vice-Prez RaGe. Mankind gave his premission, and RaGe was the New
Prez, actually, a Co-Prez. After a certain time, RaGe hired
hbk as the UCW President Assistant. hbk got sick of everyone by
kissing up to RaGe, but he could Care Less. :) Anyhow, RaGe and hbk
worked together for some time, Handling 2 UCW Pay Per VIews, the
first two, Which the first one was arranged by hbk, was named "Gold
Around the clock" and UCW "Haloween War". At that time SRichards was the
UCW Television title holder. He didn't want the belt no more, seemed
to almost Quit, then he gave the title to hbk.The UCW decided no more
title giving after that one. At UCW Gold Around the clock, a
weird team of the then UCW TV Champion hbk (who lost the TV Title to
AuSTiN at Gold around the clock) and LexLuger, Teamed up To defeat
AuSTiN and Extreme to Win the Tag Titles. They Had their Problems as
a team, but kept the Tag Titles for about a month, till hbk Decided
that he couldn't take it anymore, and foreffited his Title
Belt.
Luger
chose a partner, B_Bulldog, a part of Lex's Horsemen, To Re-Capture
the UCW Tag titles and Also, 2 days after UCW Haloween War, LexLuger
pulled the Upset when he defeated Flatline to Win the UCW World
Title.
What
about the Intercontinental Title at that time? Well, it was AuSTiN to
be the first person to hold that title, and then, It was LexLuger
(before he won the UCW World Title) to beat Austin. and then Came
_Mankind_. Mankind Defeated LexLuger for that title, However, Got
Defeated in a contreversial Match by B_Bulldog.
Second Period: UCW
Top is falling Apart.
There was a time in UCW, when RaGe Was a President,
that UCW didn't like the way him and hbk was working together. it was
a certain day, which of course was a bad day in some way, and a good
day in another way. That was a period that Some People stepped over
the line, and apperantly that might have caused _RaGe_ to get Power
Crazy. After a Few actions of
ThPatriot, which went over the line, ThPatriot was fired from UCW By
RaGe. Then, a group of some
UCW Wrestlers(a lot) Decided to throw RaGe off of his president
chair, and also, by that, Throwing hbk from his Job. It was a chaos. there was a big Chat w/ UCW CEO
SelfHi5, and we took RaGe's idea, to have a UCW Board of Directors,
which will decide about what's goin on and stuff.
Third Period;
UCW Board of Directors, UCW Ironman
The
First Board members were RaGe, Mankind, AuSTiN, RIP_UT and
Fury. AuSTiN was thrown off
from the board after no shows and stuff, and Prime was Voted in
instead, Beating hbk in the way to the board. UCW CEO took hbk to work for him,
in the UCW CEO Office, and hbk handled booking. UCW Friday Night Chaos went by,
Monday Night Apocalypses.... Good Cards.. Then, UCW Had A vote of voting hbk for being in the
board. hbk beat SEXYGIRL to get into the board. hbk cought the
Booking Position as Primary Ref and booker, and was doing
ok Then Came UCW
Ironman.
UCW
Ironman Featured the Finals of the UCW Ironman Tourney (KOTR
Like) it was non other then
RaGe, who Quit the Board a few weeks Before, (that was why hbk
entered the board) Won the TV Championship, from Itch in a friday
Night Chaos, and at UCW Ironman, Defeated B_Bulldog in the Finals, to
be the first ever UCW Ironman! also, B_Hart was the TV Champ by winning a title
match, after AuSTiN was stripped from the title due to no shows. at
that time, that's before Ironman, B_Hart Lost the TV Title to
Itch. B_Hart went on his way,
to beat B_Bulldog for the UCW intercontinental Title. Winning the UCW Ironman, Made
RaGe The Number one contender for the UCW title. but RaGe wanted the IC title
first. and he beat B_Hart for that title, and By that, declairing the
TV Title vacated, till UCW Christmas Kickass. everything was going
OK. LexLuger, who a few
weeks earlier, lost his UCW Title to B_Bulldog, Got Cocky, a few days
Before the UCW Christmas Kickass, challanging DrExtremeX to a special
Match, Lex gotta have 3 wins to Win, DrE only one. if Lex loses, he
quits IRC.
Lex won
2 of the falls, while DrExtremeX won one, which means LexLuger gotta
leave. Right? well, Not
exactly.
UCW
Board and CEO Decided to Reinstate Luger, who came back w/ a Face
turn, and better then ever. at one point of Time, when EIW and UCW tried to work
together, we had the UCW/EIW Survivor Series, When worlds collide.
Both RaGe and Extreme beat LexLuger and B_Bulldog to win the UCW Tag
Titles.
UCW Christmas
Kickass
UCW
christmas Kickass was a Very Very VERY special event.first of all,
all matches were No holds barred. and PLUS, we had the first ever UCW
Casket match, involving the Return of the US title, and the first
ever UCW ladder match, between the Challanger RaGe, to the Champion,
B_Bulldog.
we had
the TV title Tournament, Which involved Extreme, Itch, MrPerfect and
toughsob.
well,
RaGe Beat Bulldog in the ladder match, to win The UCW
Title. Prime Beat SRichards in
a casket match to win the US title. Extreme beat Itch and toughsob in a special Triangle
match, for the UCW TV title. and the UCW Intercontinental That was held by RaGe,
got vacated.
It was
an awsome card, and was held on then the UCW Server
IRC.ANOTHER.NET
UCW One Night
(Jobbing??) Only
UCW
made a One Night Only Card, to test out a new server,
PROVIDENCE.COBRA.NET. The Card was Weird. everyone jobbed to
everyone.
UCW US
Title change hands a number of times, When Ermac beat Prime and Vice
Versa. LexLuger, now knowned
as Bret, Beat Extreme for the TV Title, and then Jobbed it to B_Hart,
now knowned as Owen.
But the
biggest upset of the Night, was When hbk defeated RaGe to win the UCW
title, w/ some help or RaGe's Friend, Butterbean. at that point of time, hbk was
the CEO, and took RaGe as Assistant CEO. that's because Selfhi5 is lying in the
hospital.
Prime
almost quit UCW A night Before, So hbk took over, as needed.
However
a
little misunderstanding broke the whole CEO thing up, and caused the
board to move all people from CEOing, and Keep it in the
board.
The Present
Past of UCW
Well, this
is the only part done by me(Prime). We've been tossed from two
servers(thanks to me) and we've made many changes over the past
couple of months, but trust me. Everything is fine and dandy(Whoa, SR
mark). We've had much needed matches due to the "official matches
anytime a board member is here" rule and now we're having much better
Friday Night Chaoses(mostly in thanks to SelfHi5). The board
situation is still in disarray but we will have it fixed very soon.
Look for the 5th board member to debut within the next week or so(its
almost like the nWo. Who will jump ship next?). Actually we've had
good cards over the past month since everyone knows that its time
where titles can actually change hands. On March 7, we even held a
One Night Only card and lots of ppl showed. We are quickly becoming
the biggest channel on sandnet and we even have an IRCop on our
side(helen). So UCW is quickly becoming more mainstream and we will
can only get better. And a lot of ppl have been ragging on the AWF
for bragging about themselves. Well, I dont blame them. They say that
they're the superior action wrestling fed on IRC and they are
probably right. They've been in business for 2 years +(I think) and
they've only gotten better. We're the big two and it should be good
once we settle our differences and hold another joint card again. So
thats whats been happening over the past couple of months and I
promise you things can only get better.
What
now?!?!?!
Another
day, another time for me to rant. So far we've had members leave,
members come back, members get suspended, members get UNsuspended,
members start a new fed, members close a new fed, members bitch,
members moan, members yell, members job, members talk shit, members
full of shit, and members that are just plain pieces of shit. All
that in a month you say? Yesiree, all that in a tiny 30 days at the
most. For the most part, its been a pretty good time for UCW. The
page(thanks to me and Fury) is getting updated almost daily, we are
having matches everyday, we even had some hardcore jobbing by me. Oh
well, I'm looking for UCW to have a happy one year anniversary(sp?)
and for us to be all and well. Thats all I got for today, the history
part should be updated more often(I have to look into that) and just
keep checking in for constant updates.
And so it is
written...........
Thats
right. And so it was written, and so it shall come to past, blah blah
blah. That comes from us getting kicked offa sandnet. Not that
getting kicked off was bad, but that just adds to the list of servers
we've been kicked off of. So we start a new life on IRC, in
nexus.alternativenet.org. Dont dog this server, its pretty good. The
IRCops are pretty cool, hardly any lag, and its just starting out.
And so with this new life, we get new updates. Thats right, it seems
that the UCW Update is going daily.......well, almost daily. I'll try
to get the Update out as fast as I can. We've had like 6 updates this
week only, and I've gotten a pretty positive response out of it. The
columns are a good way to vent frustrations, and also a good way to
clear up some misunderstandings...........like the board mishaps. The
board hasnt been all that friendly the past couple of weeks, but
we're trying to bury the hatchet and put our personal differences
aside. Once SelfHi5 starts showing up again on a regular basis, all
should be well. And thats all I gots to say.........
