Jo Wong's Computer Programs

Jo Wong has written several Foxpro/ Database programs to help teachers and principals of primary and secondary schools of all countries who visit Jo Wong Homepage.

There are foxpro programs and dbf files for visiters to download.

If you have a background knowledge of using Foxpro programs or Database programs, the programs downloaded from Jo Wong Homepage can be used immediately. 

Teachers may find Jo Wong's programs extreamely useful especially for computerization of their marks book.

Principals may find Jo Wong's programs useful for computerization of report marks of the whole school.

PROGRAM 1

    JW_P is a program to sort subject marks of a class and generate positions according to their number sequence.

    1fepa  is a dbf file so that user is required to input the class number and his test/exam. marks.

After execution of the program JW_P, the positions will be generated onto the 1fepa file.  The results can be used for filling subject marks and positions on the Report.

    File Structure :  Position Sort is a file name given to the compressed file

                    position.zip which consists of jw_p.fxp and 1fepa.dbf . 

After extraction the zip file, the program and the file will be stored at the  folder of your choice.  

                              

PROGRAM 2

        JW_T is a program to computerize the markbook of a teacher who wishes to store the test marks (25%) , homework marks (5%) and the examination marks (70%) of a class of students.

        The program sums up the total marks for the report and works out the postions for each student.

          1fhis is a dbf file so that the user is required to input the test marks, homework marks and the Exam. marks.

After execution, the total marks will be stored at the field mk, positions of marks are generated.

Program 3

JW_MS is a program to collect different subject marks into a database of marksheet of a class.  The program sums up subject marks of all students, determines whether they get passes or failures according to a given condition and generates their positions.

Condition of failures : 

        Total is less than 300   out of 6 subjects.

        Either English, Chinese   or Maths falls  below 40.

2keng, 2kchl, 2kmat, 2kepa, 2kgeo, 2kisc are dbf files.

After execution, total subject marks, Pass/Fail and positions of

all students are generated.

MARK_SHEET is a file name given to the  compressed file  

mark_sheet.zip which consists of    jw_ms.fxp and 1keng.dbf,

       1kchl.dbf, 1kmat.dbf, kepa.dbf, 1kgeo.dbf, and 1kisc.dbf                                       

Software required :  Microsoft Foxpro 5.0, Winzip or equivalent
