New Champions Crowned on Nitro

This week's WCW Monday Nitro was dubbed "The Night of Champions". It featured a total of four title matches. Two of the four titles contested changed hands. Firstly, the Outsiders were forced by Commissioner Piper to defend their titles. But, with Kevin Nash just going through knee surgery this week, Scott Hall and Syxx had to defend the belts. The Steiner Brothers beat Hall and Syxx when Larry Zybysko came to the ring and counted to three

The other title that changed hands Monday night, wasn't supposed to. Diamond Dallas Page pinned Curt Hennig and won the U.S. title. Ric Flair was supposedly to interfere before DDP had the chance to pin Hennig, but he didn't. Therefore Larry Anderson had no choice but to count to three.

Improvement in the WWF's Tag Team Scene

The World Wrestling Federation will soon be adding three tag teams to their ranks. The first two to return will be The Quebecers (which were known as The Amazing French Canadians in their WCW stint) and The Samoan Swat Team will debut as The New Headshrinkers. Finally, possibly in November, The Nasty Boys will also make there return to the WWF. The WWF Tag scene is really weak right now. There are only three major tag teams competing (The Godwinns, Legion of Doom, and The Headbangers).

WCW's Gets WWF's Used Goods

Two former midcard wrestlers from the World Wrestling Federation will soon be debuting in World Championship Wrestling. The first is Barry Horowitz who feuded with Skip of the Bodydonnas (Chris Candido) back in 1995. Second, Nailz will soon debut as the Death Row Inmate. Nailz feuded with the Big Boss Man (Ray Traylor) in the WWF back in 1992.
