MDARS is currently in the process of obtaining two additional launch sites. -Rosamond dry lake east of the town of Rosamond. -Cuddyback dry lake north of Kramer Junction east of Highway 395. As the process evolves more information will be posted. These above sites are needed as Koehn Dry lake proved to be a weather disaster all of 1998, quite possibly due to El Nino. (Who knows what La Nina might bring this year!) The process of obtaining these new launch sites is quite arduous due to the multiple government entities involved. |
