Before I get started, I'd just like to pass along that I got to meet Chris Bell during this show as he made the trip down to see the show. If you haven't already be sure to check out his GREAT, Unofficial PPW Page at http://surf.to/PPW    it's a really informative page with lots of features and TONS of news about Power Pro Wrestling.

But first....here's a recap of TONIGHT'S action--cause I just know you can't wait to see what happened!

Bulldog Raines vs Kash Flow
Okay with a name like Kash Flow you'd THINK that the guy would have a gimmick to do with something about Kash..or CASH..or MONEY...so maybe some tights with dollar signs on them or something like that. Well, no. This guy wore orange tights and a tye-dye shirt. No dollar signs or anything. This match was pretty slow and seeing Kash Flow made me REEAALLLYYY appreciate the Bulldog more. But not TOO much more :)    Flow hit a side russian legsweep but Bulldog Raines came back and landed a powerslam to get the pin.
Winner: Bulldog Raines

"Slick" Robie D vs Glen Kulka
Before the match JR Smooth, who accompanied Kulka to the ring, cut an interview and ran down PPW and everyone else in general. He promised that they were gonna start putting people in hospitals. I'm really starting to like JR Smooth, and Kulka was good as usual....but Robie D was like some kind of mutation between Flash Funk and "The Cat" from WCW. After two spots in the match that were just messed up, JR Smooth nailed Robie D with the PPW belt allowing Kulka to get the pin.
Winner: Glen Kulka

Special Challenge Match
Mic Tierney vs Buddy Wayne
Tierney had to pin Buddy twice in 5 minutes to win the cash.  So of course Buddy ran around the ring for a good bit of the match and avoided Tierney at all costs. Finally Tierney applied a leglock and made Wayne submit. One down, one to go. The match continued and somewhere around the 4:45 mark, Tierney again got the advantage but referee Aubrey Wayne, Buddy's son, refused to count allowing the time to expire. Buddy wins.
Winner: Buddy Wayne. Sigh.

Round Robin Tournament for Hardcore Championship:
1st Round:
"Vicious" Vic Grimes vs ????
Before the match started, "Sensational" Steve Bradley came out in street clothes. He has a broken spleen and it appears he will be out for about 3 weeks. He cannot wait to get back and he promised when he returned he would be just as sensational in the hardcore division as he was in the Young Guns division.  The Vicious One then made his way out and said Bradley was just scared.  Bradley's replacement tonight will be Kid Wikkid. Oh joy.  The end saw Grimes piledrive Wikkid on a garbage can and he then got the 123.
Winner: "Vicious" Vic Grimes

Mic Tierney vs Kris "The Dragon" Kannonball
"The Dragon" blew a fireball before the match, which was neat. Kannonball continues to impress.  Tierney left the ring at one point in the match and got a full garbage can that was full of all kinds of trash and brought it in the ring. Nachos, paper, etc were all scattered after that.  Soon Tierney was powerslammed into the nachos!  After a ref bump, Kannonball finished off Tierney with his "Kannon-Elbow-Ball" finisher to get the pin.
Winner: Kris "The Dragon" Kannonball

After this match there was a bit of an altercation involving a water bottle, an usher, and....oh wait I promised Randy I wouldn't go there :)    SORRY FOLKS!  You shoulda been there!!!! :-)

Loser gets painted Yellow:
"Handsome" Jimmy Valiant and Brandon Baxter vs Derrick King and C.B. Wyatt
As Valiant and Baxter made their way out, "Handsome" Jimmy kissed several fans at ringside--thankfully NOT me-no thanks to Brandon Baxter (hahah!)  This was a good match-not for the workrate really but the comedy at the beginning was good.  DK was just on top of his game tonight. Funny spot with Derrick arguing with an old lady at ringside and threatening to slap her.  At one point Valiant and Baxter did a spot where they injured Derrick's nose and Wyatt screamed out "IS there a doctor in the house??"  Just darn funny. The King/BB exchange went very well as they both worked hard and put on a good show. In the end Valiant pinned Wyatt after an elbow. Wyatt was then painted yellow because of the stipulation of the match. During this, for some reason Bulldog Raines came out and choked Handsome Jimmy while DK and Wyatt then attacked Baxter. THEN Corey Macklin (ring announcer) hopped in and beat on Wyatt only to be given the beat down as well. THEN the "Founder, Owner, and President" of PPW Randy Hales came down and "Fired" Bulldog, DK, and Wyatt on the spot.  Macklin got on the mic and promised they'd pay. Okay. Hey-maybe Bulldog really WAS fired!!! Yeah right.
Winners: Handsome Jimmy and Brandon Baxter

Finals of the Hardcore Championship Round Robin Tournament:
"Vicious" Vic Grimes vs Kris "The Dragon" Kannonball
Match of the night here! After some quick in-ring work the two brawled all over the New Daisy-around the bar area and then outside for a bit.  Back to ringside, Kannonball set up a table on the floor and put Vic through it after a Kannonball-Sault over the tope rope.  Back in the ring Vic regained control and hit an AWESOME powerbomb and a few more offensive moves. Vic then put Kannonball on another table and went up to the top rope-but then he missed a twisting splash and went through the table himself. Kannonball then hit his "Kannon-Elbow-Ball" again for the pin and to win the Hardcore Championsihp.  Grrrrr. Why must Vic do the job??  At least it wasn't Tierney or Wikkid!
Winner: Kris "The Dragon" Kannonball

Main Event:
PPW Title Match:
JR Smooth vs Dirty White Boy Tony Anthony (w/Dirty White Girl)
Basic match-pretty slow.  After some brawling on the outside, Smooth was able to keep the advantage for a good portion of the match. Finally DWB regained control and hit a good clothesline that spun Smooth around totally. I like that move.  Soon Kulka and some other guy jumped in the ring and they triple teamed DWB.  They gave him a piledriver and DWG stepped in. After ignoring her for a while, Smooth pushed her down.  They continued to triple team DWB until Wikkid, Kannonball, and Robie D made the save.
Winner: Dirty White Boy (DQ)

Overall, a mediocre show.  Lots of low points but also some high ones-mainly the Vic/Wikkid and Vic/Kannonball matches and the tag match. No return date has been announced but hopefully will be announced on TV soon.  Get well soon Bradley!!!!!
