Welcome to the Online Major League Mogul Conference Fanatsy Baseball League. Here is the complete list of rules for this league. These rules may change at anytime with or without a vote. Any questions, comments or suggestions should be emailed to George A. Massimillo.
*Free Agency Periods.
During Free Agency Periods you can bid on a player anything you wish.
Email the bids in with Player Name, Position, Total Contract Length, Total
Contract Amount, and Pay Per Year. Everynight the bids will be put
up. You have 24 hours to outbid another team. If 24 hours passes
and the bid has not been beaten the team is signed to the team. Free
Agency Periods do not end. Once the season starts free agents still
being bid on continue in the 24 hour rule until the player is signed.
Only players bid on during free agency carry the 24 hour rule into the
regular season. If a Free Agent was not bid on in a FAP then
that player is bid on regularly during the season.
*Emails.
When sending emails to the league send them to president of the OMLMC
George
A. Massimillo. Please put your team name and subject of the email
in the subject. For example if you are the New York Mets and you
are sending in a roster update your subject would be -
NYM - Roster. This will help me to go through email quicker
so that I can get the sim out to you sooner.
*League Start.
At the start of this league each team will be granted two free releases.
They must be decided within the first week of ownership of the team.
When the two players are chosen one must be designated as signable.
You may only bid on one of the two players once they are in the free agent
pool. The player who you cannot bid on may be traded to you after
he is signed by another team or if he is signed by a team then released
again you may bid on him.
*Weekly Sims.
There will be two sims a week. Each sim will play out one week
of play using Baseball Mogul 2000. An updated file will be uploaded
to the page shortly after and every member of the league will then recieve
an email and sometimes brief comments on the outcome of the sim.
The updated league file can be downloaded by clicking on the OMLMC File
link below (top row, second from the left.). The sims will take place
on Wed. and Sun.
*Rosters.
Rosters must be sent in the night before each sim (So Wed.'s roster
would be due Tues. Night and Sun.'s roster would be due Sat. Night.)
Send in a batting order, bench, pitching rotation, and bullpen. If
there is no change in your roster from one sim to the next no email is
nessesary.
*Trades.
Trades can consist of any players or money on your team. The
right to Star Prospects can not be traded until it is garunteed that you
are the team that will be recieving the right to a Star Prospect ( See
Star Prospects Below.). The World Series team cannot trade thier
Star Prospect right, however they can trade thier Star Prospect once recieved.
All trades must be sent into George
A. Massimillo as soon as possible after the trade. It should
include all details of the trade and a brief press release from yorur about
the trade. If a team begins to make trades that have no reason to
them and completely destories the team for that owner and perhaps future
owners I have the right to deny the trade. All completed trades will
be posted on the page to access them click on the Trades & Signings
link (second row, first from the left.)
*Free Agent Signings.
Free agent bids must be sent into George
A. Massimillo stating the players name, position, lenght in years of
the bid, salary per year, and salary total. Once bid on it will be
posted under Free Agents (first row, first from the right.)
Any other team wishing to bid on that player must beat out the original
bid before the roster deadline of the next sim. If the bid is not
beaten or matched the player will be signed to the team and it will be
posted under Trade & Signings (second rown first from teh left.).
If a team meets another teams bid for a free agent each team must submit
a reason that the player should sign with them and what his role would
be with the team, a few selected owners and I will then judge it and make
a decision on which team deserves the player more.
*75million Tax.
If a playoff team has a payroll of 75 million or more, half of the
playoff profits will be taken. The money taken will be divided amoung
the 2 lowest payroll teams, unless it would cause the playoff team to go
under 5 million in cash. Then the playoff team keeps all profits.
*Star Prospects.
At the beginning of the season a vote will take place to determine
if there will be 2 pitchers and 1 position player or 2 position players
and 1 pitcher. I will then create 3 extremely great players.
The three players will stay posted Free Agents link (first row, first from
the right.). At the end of the WS the 3 players will be given to
thier teams. The worst team in each league and the WS team will ge
involved. The team with the worst record of the two worst teams will
choose first, then the other last place team will chose from the remaining
two star prospects, the third star prospect will be given to the WS champions.
The two last place teams may sign thier star prospect to a longer contract.
However the world series team must wait until the player has played one
full season before being able to sign him. Each star prospect
will start with a 1year 150,00 dollar contract. When the season has
completed a last place team may trade thier right to a star prospect to
another team. The team recieving the right to a star prospect will
get that teams order in the chosing process but will not be able to sign
the star prospect until the prospect has completed one year of service.
WS champions cannot trade their right to a star prospect. After
the prospects are assigned to their teams they may be traded freely as
any other player, but once traded he cannot sign a longer contract.
So for instance if the Montreal Expos were to get the first star prospect
and trade him to the Arizona Diamondbacks without signing him to a longer
contract the DBacks CANNOT sign the prospect to a new contract until one
year of service is complete.
*Team Reports.
Team Reports are not mandatory although it is requested that you submit
one a week. A few short sentences are fine. This simply adds
to the fun and realism of the league so please help out to make this fun
for everyone. At the start of each ownership a small Team Report
is mandatory though.
*Overall Team Rankings.
The Overall Team Rankings are simply how I personally feel each team
stands against eachother and have nothing to do with the outcome of the
sims. This is just an added feature to the league.
*History.
The History section will have a history of each teams records over
the years.
*Moving Teams.
The moving of teams will be judged on a team by team basis. There
will be a moving fee and a possible stadium lease price which will be set
if I and a few selected owners granted your team the right to move.
*Stadium Modifications.
Stadium Modifications can be done to any stadium during the off season.
Every 10,000 seats added costs 3 million dollars. Every 10 feet a
fence is moved costs 1 million, anything below 10 feet is 1 million and
anything between 10-20 feet is 2million. Fences cannot be moved more
then 20 feet at a time. All other updates cost 2 million per
level upgraded.
