The Ollie
|
|
To Ollie
Put your front foot just behind the screws and your back foot on the back(your back foot should be on the back but not too much,
you should be able to see a little bit of the tail behind your foot). All your weight should be on your toes and your toes should be in
the middle of the board. Bend your knees so you can touch the ground. Slam the tail down. When you slam it the board should
almost be vertical. As soon as you slam it you should jump upwards (and forwards a little). Then slide your front foot up the grip
tape to level it out (you should use the part of your shoe where your four smaller toes are located, to make it easier try turning your
front foot a little away from you). Depending how high you jumped the board will level off and hit your back foot. Bend your knees
when you land. Hint: When you bent your knees to slam the tail down, you should be in that same pose when your at the peak of
your ollie, your knees should be bent a lot.

Pop Shuvit & 50/50
|
|
To PopShuvit
Start to ollie. When your just coming of of the ground, swing your two legs in opposite directions(ie. back leg swing back and font
leg swing forward) The board should spin around 180 degrees and you should catch it with your feet .
To bust a 50/50
Approach the curb at a 45 degree angle(or slighter). Then ollie and put your trucks on the curb and ride it out, or ollie off the curb.
If your riding parallel to the curb ollie and push your trucks down and on to the edge of the curb.

More Tricks (advanced)

To Kickflip:
A kickflip is a hard trick, and is the trick you need to learn before you go big, but definetly not impossible. Foot placement: front, on
the edge of the board and it should be turned slightly away from you. Back, regular ollie position. Ollie and when you are sliding you
foot up slide it out off the deck too. The board should do a flip. Let the board spin under your legs and catch it when the grip tape
shows up.
Varial Flip
To do a varial flip, its like a popshuvit kickflip. So you need to know how to popshuvit and kickflip before you try this move. The
footing is close to the kickflip except the back foot on the tail should be a little slanted. Pop the tail down and do a kickflip. Once
you pop the deck, use your back foot to manuever it 180 degrees and then land it. This is a tough trick to learn but its just as easy
to land as a kickflip.
