BIRMINGHAM- The Burgers must have thought they had a bye week just like the Steelers, because they threw away a perfect chance to go 3-0 and score high points again with 52. The worst part is, they had no other choices! It's this kind of coaching that has kept Birmingham out of contention in the past. The Veins, meanwhile, have already won more games this year than in '96 and '95.

PORTLAND- The Donors finally get a win in a close one. Leading by two going into Monday Night against Emmitt and Watters, things looked bleak. But the '97 Emmitt isn't what he used to be when he was a Donor, and Oregon was able to hold on and score again to win 27-21.

FLORIDA- In their first home game, the Florida Keys put on quite a show for their new fans, but in the end they couldn't put the points on the board. If Boniol gets to kick that chip shot, the Keys could've tied the game. Instead, New Jersey survives a scare that wouldn't have existed had they played Steve Young.

DES MOINES- There's something rotten in the state of Iowa, and it's the Bundle. Even scoring more points this week than in the previous two combined, they still can't win.

BOISE- The Bags of week one are long gone. Salisbury came to town this week and wiped up the field with them. Now they get ready to face the one team they've never lost to - the Maine Veins.

Next Week's Matchups:
Hawaii (-4) at New Jersey
Iowa (+10) at Salisbury
Birmingham (-7) at Oregon
San Andreas (-8) at Florida
Idaho (-3) at Maine
