BIRMINGHAM- Florida grabs their first high points prize ever and ended their three game losing streak by frying the Burgers who find themselves in a three game losing streak of their own. Birmingham was without their leading scorer, Bledsoe, and the Keys found out their players actually do score points.

MAUI- Hawaii survived a scare this week, as they watched Tony Martin catch his first three TDs of the season while sitting on the bench for the first time! Fortunately for them, George was able to pick up the slack with 4 TDs. Idaho was left with virtually no running game due to bye weeks and injuries and everyone knows, if you can't run the ball in this league, it's hard to win.

BANGOR- The Veins are right in the thick of things. By handing the Steaks their first defeat, Maine is now only a game out of first place in the East. Salisbury goes from high to dog and allows three teams to get within 10 of their total point lead.

DES MOINES- Iowa Bundle owner Glenn Smith is so irate with his team he has decided to write the season off by making EVERY player on his roster (except Favre) available for trade for 1998 draft picks.

SAN ANDREAS- In a super comeback on Monday Night, the Pants needed 19 points from 3 players to win. They got 18 and had to settle for the season's first tie. It's better than a loss, but doesn't help New Jersey in the standings.

Next Week's Matchups:
