Oregon Donors 42 New Jersey New Pants New Shoes  20 Who says you can't win the Super Bowl without a good quarterback?  In what can be considered a major upset, the Oregon Donors put an end to the near perfect season the Pants were enjoying, and won their second Super Bowl.  Kordell got the start in his second straight WFFL Super Bowl (last year with the Idaho Bags), but was promptly yanked from the game.  The Donors relied on an excellent supporting cast, getting production from Bettis, Moss, and a defensive TD, not to mention MVP Jamal Anderson's 2 TDs and 147 yards.  This is New Jersey's second Super Bowl loss in 3 years, but they still walk away the big money winner with their best record, high points & Super Bowl runner-up prizes. Is the West a dominating division?  Well, 6 out of 8 Super Bowls have been won by a West team, including the last 4 in a row.

WFFL League News

• This year's Pro Bowl will be worth $9.60 per team for the winning division.  Coaches Giles & Moore, don't forget there are 2 games on Saturday.
• The Birmingham Burgers have terminated their lease and are leaving Birmingham for a sweeter stadium deal elsewhere.  Ownership will remain intact, and their new home has yet to be disclosed.  Will this be the only relocation?  Most teams are playing in antiquated, 8 year old stadiums and are crying for more luxury boxes.
• This off-season, there will be a complete rules review.  Look for a meeting prior to the draft, probably in late July or early August.  Bring all your ideas & complaints with you.  Rule changes will require 7 of 10 votes to pass.  Beware, the free agent signing process will come up.  Instant replay will not.
• The schedule next year might have to change somewhat, depending on how the NFL handles the addition of Cleveland.  With 31 teams, there will be at least one team off every week.  I haven't figured out how we're going to handle teams having bye weeks during our playoffs.  That's going to suck.
• The league internet page will be moving.  The new address will be thewffl.freeservers.com.  That's much easier to remember.  It's up now, so you can try it out.  I'll wait until after the new year to take the old site down.
• I'll be looking into another software package that provides good player stats to assist free agent pickups.  I want to put this type of info on the web page so everyone can get a good idea of who's doing what.
