y - Clinched Division Championship |
|
Randall. The season's WFFL MVP? |
SALISBURY- Close, but no
cigar. The Pants needed 14 points from Young to tie the game, and
the record for best regular season. He scored 13. Meanwhile,
both Pants losses have come at the hands of the Steaks! If Salisbury
can survive round 1 against Iowa, they'll get a third chance to play New
Jersey for a trip to Super Bowl VIII.
BOISE- Unbelievable! How does a team without a coach win the division? Except for their kicker, the Bags played the same lineup since week 3, and went 7-4 with it. Idaho is now one game away from another trip to the big game. |
KEY LARGO- My apologies
to the Burgers. Last week I said a win and an Iowa loss puts them
in the playoffs. They got both, but it turns out they also needed
a San Andreas victory, and didn't get it. Sorry.
PORTLAND- There are some things you hate to see. One is for your team to score 50 points in a meaningless game the week before the playoffs. The Donors hope they didn't peak too soon. BANGOR- Maine pours it on, but it doesn't matter. Iowa gets in anyway and coach Moore will coach another Pro Bowl. This time against coach Giles. |
Next Week's Match Ups: | Division Wild Cards |
Oregon (+7) at Hawaii | The Donors are 0-2 against Hawaii this season and haven't
won a playoff game since 1993. The Punch are playing their first Wild Card game since 1993, when they played as the Las Vegas Mirage. |
Iowa (+4) at Salisbury | If Salisbury wins, it will be their 3rd consecutive (and
4th in 5 years) trip to the Eastern Division Championship game. In those three prior games, they are 0-3. The Bundle's last post season win was Super Bowl VI. |
