HEROES COLLAPSE AFTER NIGHT ON THE PISS.
Aeddan equal top goal scorer as HH go down 4-1
How can we have let this happen? Going down 4-1 to a bunch of old men (Ned's No Hopers for Christ sake!), especially after
going a head. After a sterling performance last week, (OK only one goal but the team played their best football ever), they started
well, taking the lead in the first ten minutes. A cracking shot from Aeddan, a good two metres out of the area, with pace and rising
slightly it struck the post and underside of the cross bar then bounced into the other end of the net. 0-1. GREAT!
Then for the rest of the first half the team were on top but then the old codgers managed to pressure our defence and sent the ball
past Rich into our goal. OK now they've equalized, we can come back again. And it did seem that the Heroes would be able to go
ahead again as they kept the pressure up, but then the match turned. The No hopers, 2 minutes from end of half time, broke down
the left wing, all our team still up. They chased back and marked the most likely of the other team to score but the runner with the
ball kept hold of it, unchallenged until he reached the edge of the area and then made the space and shot, cracking goal for them,
disaster for the Heroes! From then on the team just bombed. End of the first half and things were looking ragged but still we
thought something could be done about that in the second half. HUH!
The second half was more like the team we saw in the first game of the season! They were all over the place, except where they
needed to be! Looking through the lens of my camera the number of times I saw about three of the No Hopers in the viewfinder
and none of the heroes, especially near our goal, was despairing!
Pedgar said "It was a tired performance in the second half. I didn't like them.". He may not have liked them but they certainly
wiped the floor with the Heroes! Tired is certainly an accurate description of the team, it may not have been hot but the whole
squad was cream crackered!
Mark said "I hate that f*#king fat American C*#~!!" Well I never!
Perhaps the reason for this defeat lays with the training technique this week.
Last week I discussed haw the team changed tactics, instead of practice they went and watched Man U beat Bayern Munich!
THIS week they went out to the Gallery and got pissed!
Last week they played well and won one nil! THIS week they played like zombies and lost four one!
Now I don't know about the readers of this Fanzine but it might suggest to those concerned, i.e. the team and the manager, that
perhaps they might give the Gallery a miss next week and watch a real hero in action (007, >From Russia With Love, 8.30pm,
ITV). What do you think lads (Lucy too)?!
I want this to be the LAST fanzine where I write an account of a poor match. I don't think we'll make the playoff's but let's at
least save face, because unless Deep Penetration fail to win a single one of their matches (I don't know how they did this week),
WE are going to finish bottom of the table!!!
