The advantages:BAUER OIL-LESS compressors operate without
any oil in
the crankcase and are therefore environment friendly. The
compressors are smooth running with low maintenance.
Unlike oil-free compressors, whose drive is oil lubricated,
our OIL-LESS compressors operate entirely without any
Their smooth running is the result of a correct and complete
mass balance.
Technical Features:Pressure Range: 100-700 psig
Intake: The i ntake air is effected through the crankcase thus
cooling all moving parts. This feature developed by BAUER
contributes greatly to the long life cycle of the compressor.
Cylinder: Special aluminium-alloy. The working surfacesare hard coated for low friction and long operating life.
Pistons: Specially developed piston shape, based on
latestBAUER technology with F~FE (polytetrafluoride ethylene)
compound coating. Only the piston working surfaces are
coated, guaranteeing minimum wear and low frictional
losses.
Mean Piston Speed: Only 350 fpm (1.8 m/s max.)
whichguarantees quiet operation and long life cycle even at the
highest permissible'speed of 1060 r.p. m.
Piston Rings: Manufactured entirely of a special
PTFEcompound and adapted to the pressure and temperature
conditions.
Valves: Friction and maintenance free, made of
non-corrosive materials, life cycle more than 8000 operating
hours. All of the components that are in contact with the
airflow are made of non-corrosive materials (Al + stainless
steel). All other components are based on the latest design
and production technology and comply with BAUER's
renowned quality standards.
Bearings: The cylindrical roller and ball bearings are
fullyencapsulated, filled with special bearing grease and
specially sealed. The connecting rod bearings operate
without rubber seals. A labyrinth ensures safe sealing and
a long life cycle. Even under alternating loads no oil or
grease leakage can occur. The bearings are designed for a
life cycle of at least 8000 operating hours.
Compressed Air Outlet Temperature: Only about
13-18"F(7-10"C) above ambient temperature, measured down-
stream of the after-cooler. This is due to extremely long cool-
ing coils and the fact that the cooling air reaches the whole
compressor block.
