O handball
(esporte que vem ganhando popularidade na Europa) é uma espécie
de futebol jogado com as mãos.
E foi justamente por isso que, em 1915, na Alemanha, um prefessor
de educação física chamado Schellenz resolveu inventa-lo. Ele
queria distrair seus alunos, que gostam de futebol mas não
tinham a menor habilidade com os pés. O campo era o mesmo e cada
time atuava também com 11 jogadores.
Nessa mesma época, na Dinamarca, também se começou a disputar
partidas de um jogo bem parecido. Só que era praticado em
quadras fechadas e havia 7 jogadores de cada lado. Por cause
dessa concidência, até hoje alemães e dinamarqueses discutem
quem inventou o handball.
Durante muito tempo, jogavam-se os dois tipos de handball: um com
11 e o outro com 7 jogadores. Finalmente chegou-se à conclusão
de que era melhor jogar com 7 ( e assim ficou ).

THE HANDBALL
The handball (sport that comes winning popularity in Europe) it
