The Pop Shove It

The pop shove-it is a little more difficult to master than the ollie, but it requires the same motions with a few small additions to get the board to spin 180 degrees underneath you.

STEP 1: Start with your feet in about the same position as an ollie, make sure that your back foot is on the tip of the tail to get the best pop.

STEP 2: Kick down like you would to do an ollie, but as you kick down with your back foot, scoop with your back foot behind you. This should cause the board to spin underneath you. You may have to adjust how hard you kick backwards in order to get the board to spin 180 degrees. Lift your legs and knees as the board does its spinning.

STEP 3: As the board turns the complete 180 degrees, catch the board with your feet as you let them down. Ride away. NOTE: If you are having trouble with the board flipping and not staying level while you attempt pop shove-its, try using your front foot as a leveler. Push your front foot out away from your body to help the board spin and keep level.
