WWF Raw is War - February 28, 2000 Live from New York, New York Hosted by Jerry Lawler and Jim Ross By Kevin Gregg from Power Wrestling
Welcome everyone, welcome to RAW is WAR! RAW is WAR is live from Madison Square Garden in New York City, and you gotta believe that this is going to be a wild ride coming off of an excellent pay per view just last night! We now begin the Road to Wrestlemania, and Jim Ross is along side Jerry "The King" Lawler and they are going to be commentating for the night. Triple H's music is playing to start off the night, and just last night, he had one hell of a match with Cactus Jack in a Hell in a Cell match. Triple H comes out with Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley and he is possibly the greatest Champion in World Wrestling Federation history!
Triple H doesn't look to be in a great mood tonight, but Stephanie has a smile on her face as usual. When Triple H and Stephanie get in the ring, the fans chant "Asshole, asshole!" in the direction of Triple H and Stephanie and Triple H isn't smiling at all as he has a mic in hand. Triple H says that he guesses that he should probably be out here basking in the glory of the greatest match in his life. The fans chant for Mick Foley, and he was retired last night at the hands of Triple H. Triple H says he just can't come out here and celebrate the way he would like to. Triple H says that at No Way Out, he and Mick Foley just about destroyed each other, and a month ago in that very arena, he and Mick Foley just about destroyed each other then too.
Triple H says that he learned over the time that he's got more respect for Mick Foley than anybody else in his life. Triple H says he is out here trying to pay respects to Mick Foley, because Mick Foley earned his respect, and he can tell that each and every one of the fans have that same respect for Mick Foley. Triple H says that as a tribute to Mick Foley, because if anyone in the world deserves a tribute, it's Mick Foley, he had the production guys put together a package to chronicle the career of Mick Foley. They show a video package for Mick Foley, and it shows many things that he has done in the World Wrestling Federation from Dude Love to Mankind to Cactus Jack and to being a fun loving guy.
Triple H and Stephanie have a blast watching the video as they laugh at some Mick Foley moments, and a shot of Mick picking his ass is shown a number of times in the package as the second half of the video plays to the Degeneration X music. Triple H says the WWF will never ever be the same without him, and he laughs and says it will be a million times better! Triple H says that's right, he's out of here! Stephanie gets the mic and the fans chant "Slut, slut, slut!" in her direction. Stephanie says Mick has a lot to look forward to, and instead of just being a fat, smelly loser, he can be a fat, smelly, disgusting retired loser! Stephanie says all thanks to her husband, the World Wrestling Federation Champion, the Game, Triple H!
Triple H and Stephanie hug in the ring and the music of The Corporation comes on and it's Shane McMahon with The Big Show! Shane McMahon and The Big Show come to the ring, and it looks like we may have a war within the McMahon family. Shane gets on the mic and tells Triple H to back it up, because he is going to handle this McMahon to McMahon. Shane says hello to his sister, and he says that just because she shattered her father's heart into little pieces, he isn't going to sit by and watch Stephanie ruin the WWF. Shane says that Stephanie has driven the WWF into a whole different business, and Shane says that he wouldn't sit back and let that happen for one second.
Shane says that he has been waiting for his spot, and he has been waiting to align himself with the right person. He has been waiting to come back with a big fashion and that lightning bolt has struck. Shane says he has been looking to align himself with a Champion, and he isn't talking about the current WWF Champion, because Triple H marches to the beat of his own drum and has his own agenda. Shane says he also isn't talking about that eyebrow raising Champion, The Rock. Shane says the Champion that he is talking about stands 7 feet 2 inches tall and can snap a man in half in 2 seconds. Shane says he picked his spot and aligned himself with the future WWF Champion, The Big Show!
The Big Show and Triple H stand face to face for a moment and the music of the people's champion, The Rock comes on and the crowd explodes to their feet! The Rock says congratulations to the four people in the ring. Not for Shane making his return during The Rock's match, and not for Stephanie being the biggest tramp walking New York City. No to The Big Show for going on to Wrestlemania, and no to Triple H for still being the WWF Champion. The Rock says congratulations to the four of them for being the biggest groups of assholes standing in the ring! The Rock says that last night at No Way Out, The Big Show did beat The Rock, but unlike The Big Show, the people's champ isn't going to whine and cry, because the people's champ guarantees that he is going to Wrestlemania!
The Rock guarantees that he is going to be the WWF Champion. Triple H says that this was an A/B conversation, and he should C his way out of it. Triple H says that what this was, was a conversation between a Champion and a number one contender to be a Champion. The fans start chanting "Asshole, asshole!" even more, and Triple H says that The Rock is out here for the fans' entertainment, and they shouldn't talk to him like that. Triple H says this conversation doesn't involve has-beens, so The Rock can just walk away. Triple H says that while he is thinking about it, since he is no longer the number one contender, since he had his chance and he blew it, he goes back to the bottom fo the barrel. Triple H says as a matter of a fact, he's got a hell of an idea how he can get that ball rolling.
Triple H says that in this very ring, The Rock will go back to the bottom of the ladder, when tonight, he steps into one on one competition with New York's Greatest Claim to fame, The Brooklyn Brawler! Triple H asks if The Rock understands that he will be going one on one with the Brooklyn Brawler, if you smellalala what the Game, is playing! Shane says just to make sure there are no mistakes here, the only chance of The Rock going to Wrestlemania as the number one contender, there is No Chance in Hell! The No Chance in Hell music comes on and we cut backstage to where the Acolytes are playing cards. The Hardy Boyz show up and ask the Acolytes what they were doing at No Way Out, and the Acolytes make fun of the Hardy Boyz, and the Hardys challenge the Acolytes to a match, tonight! The Hardy Boyz flip the table of the Acolytes when Faarooq tells them to tuck their tales and leave, and they run away, and you can hear Bradshaw yell "At least go out the damn door!" about the door that they have set up there.
The Hardy Boyz vs. the Acolytes The Hardy Boyz are now on their way to the ring and they are going against the Acolytes in this match after the challenge that they just laid out to the Acolytes. Matt Hardy gets caught by the Acolytes and Jeff Hardy goes over the top rope and jumps on the Acolytes and the match is on! The Acolytes double team Matt Hardy in the ring and Faarooq eventually gets out of the ring, and it's Bradshaw against Matt Hardy in the ring. Bradshaw sets up Matt Hardy on the top rope, and Matt fights back and gives Bradshaw a tornado DDT. Matt tags in Jeff Hardy and Jeff tries to give Bradshaw a cross body, but Bradshaw catches him in a fall away slam. Bradshaw then tags in Faarooq and Faarooq tries to pin Jeff but only gets a two count. Jeff gives Faarooq a small package for a two count, and when the two get back to their feet, Faarooq explodes on Jeff with a clothesline. Bradshaw eventually tags in Faarooq and Faarooq goes for the dominator on Jeff Hardy, but Jeff gets out of it and slams Faarooq's face to the mat. Faarooq gets up and tags in Bradshaw and Bradshaw continues to work on Jeff. Jeff makes a blind tag to Matt and Matt gives Bradshaw the Twist of Fate for the win! Kurt says he is willing to put his European Championship belt on the line to anyone who will accept his bid. Some weird music plays and a weird video is playing on the screen with Steve Blackman in it.
Steve Blackman and Al Snow waste no time going at it with Edge and Christian. Terri says that she turned her back on the Hardys, because they didn't come to see her in the hospital enough. Terri says that she gave them everything, and it seems that they don't care about her. They show it again in slow motion, and The Rock's feet hit the floor first. The Big Show asks the people if they would rather cheer loud for a loser rather than the actual winner, him. The Big Show says that doesn't understand how the fans can do this, and he asks if anyone out there can explain to him how this is right. Kurt Angle's music comes on and he gets somewhat of a good fan reaction at first. Kurt Angle is the WWF European Champion, and he has a mic in hand! Kurt Angle says that he has been listening to what The Big Show is saying, and he wants to shake The Big Show's hands. Kurt says shame on the people for what they are doing.
Kurt says finally there is someone else out there with a little integrity, and he gets booed? Kurt asks what is wrong with the fans, and they boo him, too. Kurt tells The Big Show that some of us care about the rules, and care about what is right and what is wrong. Kurt Angle has a little story that illustrates that principle. Kurt says he was training for the Olympics back in 1992, and Chris Jericho's music comes on! Chyna is by Chris Jericho as Chris welcomes everyone to Nashville is Jericho! Chris says that here's something you don't see every day. An Olympic hero with no neck, a ridiculous giant with no testicles. Chris says he has to give Kurt credit, because after his performance, he even made The Big Show seem entertaining.
Chris says that Y2J has an I of his own, since Kurt likes to talk about his I's, and it's "I wish you would shut the hell up!". Chris Jericho says that he has one more, and at No Way Out, "I am going to give you a Y2J beating that he will never e-e-ever forget!". Kurt says that if Chris has a problem, they should have the match right here tonight! Better yet, a tag team match. Kurt Angle has a partner right there in the ring, and he says that he doesn't think Chris will ever find a partner with the lack of intelligence who would want to face them. The Rock's music comes on and it looks like we are going to have a huge match up here tonight!
The fans are well behind The Rock, and he does his finally The Rock has come back to bit, and the fans sing along with The Rock, just like always. The Rock says that tag team wrestling isn't really his thing, but tonight, The Rock will team with Chris Jericho as long as he can get that Olympic goof to know his role and shut his mouth! The Rock says he could care less about Kurt Angle, and the only real reason that The Rock is teaming with Chris Jericho tonight is to get his hands on The Big Show. The Rock says he has heard The Big Show's complaints, seen his footage, and The Rock says this. He is absolutely right. The Rock says he is right, The Rock's feet did touch the ground first, and he is right that The Rock called him a jabroni, and he is right that the people boo his candy ass!
The Rock asks The Big Show if he wants to know why the fans boo him. The Rock has a little bit of video footage of his own, and The Rock has some footage of the one thing that The Big Show thinks that he does best. They roll the footage, and it's of The Rock making a mockery of The Big Show raising his hand in the air. The Rock shows the footage again, incase he missed it, but this time at a different angle. The Rock says that maybe he'll understand it one more time in slow motion, seeing as he has a third grade education. The Rock says that is why the fans boo him, and why they don't treat him with respect, because he whines, complains and moans.
The Rock says he realizes that The Big Show is 7 foot, 500 pounds, and without a shadow of a doubt the biggest threat in The Rock's career. The Rock tells The Big Show not to worry about the crowds, and he should only worry about how he is going to stop the Brahma Bull from kicking his candy ass and going on to Wrestlemania, if you smell-lalalala what The Rock is cooking!
A video package is shown for the history between Cactus Jack and Triple H, and also highlights from other Hell in a Cell matches are shown, just to show how dangerous the Hell in a Cell match can be.
