Steve Austin made his pro debut in 1989. He wrestled for various independant promotions, including one owned by Jerry "The King" Lawler. Steve Austin landed a job in WCW in the early ninties, and was fired by Eric Bischoff in 1995. He went on to bigger fame in the World Wrestling Federation. He won the King of the Ring tournament in 1996, and won his first WWF world title from Shawn Michaels in 1997, at WrestleMania XIII.
