list with a broken right wrist and guard Bobby Hurley on the
injured list with a muscle strain in his left leg; activated
center Kevin Salvadori and forward Tariq Abdul-Wahad (formerly
Olivier Saint-Jean) from the injured list. 

San Antonio Spurs -- Activated forward Chuck Person from the
injured list.

Golden State Warriors -- Activated guard Brian Shaw from the
injured list; placed forward Dickey Simpkins on the injured
list.

SATURDAY'S BASKETBALL Transactions

Chicago Bulls -- Placed center Bill Wennington on the injured
list with bone spurs in his right elbow; activated swingman
Keith Booth from the injured list.

Atlanta Hawks -- Waived guard Donald Whiteside and signed guard
Randy Livingston. 

Denver Nuggets -- Named director of player personnel Mike
D'Antoni assistant coach. 

Golden State Warriors -- Traded guard B.J. Armstrong to the
Charlotte Hornets in exchange for guards Muggsy Bogues and Tony
Delk; waived guard Carl Thomas; reached an agreement on a
two-year contract that will keep the Warriors home telecasts on
SportsChannel through at least 1999.
