Nathan Astle
While the Kiwis have changed their opening pair continuously, Astle
has retained his half almost always. He is the most valuable batsman
for the kiwis, with his tremendous hitting and attacking power, he
challenges even the best bowlers. He also bowls wicket taking medium
pacers and is a valuable fielder.

Danny Vettori
This young bespectacled left arm spinner has quickly and easily cemented
his place in the team with unbelievable wicket taking bowling. He
has quickly become a crowd favorite and is also a respectable batsman,
wih the ability to stick around when the team is in trouble.

Chris Harris
If anyone thought there was no challenge to Rhodes and Ponting, the
third rung on the ladder has been occupied by Harris. He has been
electrifying in the field with astonishing catches and run outs. His
slow, confusing medium pacers to go with his left handed attacking
batting make him a match winner.

cricket. he has accomplished the difficult task of exceling with both
