Aravinda de Silva
The backbone of the Sri Lankan batting for the past few years, Aravinda
shines most when Sri Lanka need hime. He was a major factor in the
surprise win in 1996, and he still continues to be amongst the runs.
His off spin bowling is also an asset for his team.

Muttiah Muralitharan
Murali has enthralled cricket lovers the world over with his deadly
off spinning, often turning the ball at over seventy five degrees.
He has the tremendous ability to beat batsmen consistently with his
spin alone, and is also an excellent outfielder. He is one of the
greatest bowlers of the modern era.

Russel Arnold
In a team where fielding is not a big asset, Arnold has provided his
team with great reflexes in the field, to bridge the gap between Sri
Lanka and other countries. His left handed batting is his greatest
strength, and he should be seen in the team for a few years to come.

Sanath Jayasuriya
The man who changed the pattern of one day cricket with his dynamite
batting in the 96 world cup is the captain and most valuable player
in the Sri Lankan side. His left handed smashing is now a great key
to the Sri Lankan batting, and his left handed spin can even be relied
upon in the death overs.
