SKATE TRICKS

Ollie - to ollie, place your front foot just behind the truck bolts and your back foot as far back on the tail as you can stay balanced on it. Then crouch down and jump. As you are coming up on your jump, push your back foot down very hard on the tail. Just as the tail is about to hit the ground, slide the outside side of your front foot up the board trying to pull your front foot and the board up as far as possible. stop when your front foot is over the bolts. YOu should be about in mid-air right now; keep hovering over the board and steady the board with your feet to level it out. as you come down, crouch to absorb your landing. It's alright if you are a beginner and do not get this trick the very first time. It can take weeks, sometimes months.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Kickflip - to kickflip you have to be rolling along at a medium speed. get into the ollie position EXCEPT that your front foot should be a little farther back (basically in the middle) on your board. your heel on your front foot should hang off of the backside of your board so that your toes are only touching your board. perform an ollie in this position and keep your legs high above the board. after the spinning of the board has stopped steady it out with both feet, crouch and land, just like the ollie.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
180/360 kickflip - to 180 or 360 kickflip (the 180 and 360 just depends on how much you pull the board around) you get into the regular kickflip position and after you push the tail down on the kickflip, you scoop your foot backside and flick your toe off of the board with your front foot. This should cause the board to pop up and flip while turning in a shuv-it like way. Hover over your board and keep your legs up until the board is done spinning and turning, level it, crouch, then land. For this trick, you must be going about medium speed.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Heelflip - to heelflip, your position is like the kickflip EXCEPT that your front foot is on the frontside of the board with only the heel on the board. When you go up to flip the board, it is backwards of the kickflip. you push your foot up like the kickflip, only towards yourself. so instead of flicking your foot off away from yourself, you flick it off towards your body.

Backside Pop SHUV-It - to do a bs pop shuv-it, you must place your front foot on the edge of the board, like the kickflip, so only your toe is on the board. Your back foot should be in regular position. roll along at a slow to medium speed and
