The University of Nebraska Cornhuskers Football team must be one of the best teams ever to exist in college football. For three years in the past decade, the Cornhuskers have been ranked as the Number One team at the end of the playing year in 1994, 1995, and finally in 1997. This football program has been the first place team five times in their history, including the three already said. They also won in 1970 and 1971.
