The greatest moment in recent wrestling history. Your savior, the Ayatollah of Rock and Rolla, Chris Jericho premieres on Raw is Wa...um, Raw is Jericho

I was born and raised in Seattle, WA. When I was six years old, my mother married my step-father, Fred. In addition to bringing a father figure into the home, Fred brought a relatively new medium to our house, cable television.
These were the days of Georgia Championship Wrestling, broadcast by Ted Turner's WTBS out of Atlanta, GA. Wrestlers at the time were the Freebirds, Junkyard Dog, Dusty Rhoades, Ted DiBiase, Terry Funk and significantly younger versions of Terry "Hulk" Hogan, "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair, Jesse "The Body" Ventura, and young unknown announcers, Vince McMahon and Eric Bischoff.

Twenty years ago was before Wrestlemania, Hulkamania, or even pay per views. Wrestling was moving out of the slow, submission hold wrestling but not quite into the aerial displays that we see today. Professional wrestling was beginning to enter it's most successful period in history, and I was a little kid eating it up like it was Lucky Charms.
Five years later, Wrestlemania III brought professional wrestling into the mainstream. I was there watching the WWF flirt with MTV as Cyndi Lauper became a staple in the pro wrestling world. I was there to see Andre the Giant gracefully job to Hogan, I saw a young Bret Hart break into the scene, putting together one of the most successful stables wrestling had ever seen (The Hart Foundation).
As with many Americans, my interest in wrestling waned with the advent of the 1990's, but I always knew what was going on in the industry. I saw the friction between Vince McMahon and Ted Turner go from professional to personal, with the result being the formation of the WCW.

Okay, occassionaly I actually work! Here I am running a Power Bomb show at the Worldstream Studios

I attended Eastern Washington University in Cheney, WA from 1990-1995, receiving my Bachelor's degree in Radio-Television, Performance and Production. I worked as a disc jockey for two years, before realizing that I really wanted to talk more, leading into my pursuit of a talk radio career. I spent six months working for NewsTalk 920, KXLY-AM in Spokane, WA and six months at Business Talk 770, KNWX-AM in Seattle, WA before joining the Talkspot team in November of 1998.
I consider Power Bomb to be the perfect combination of the two things I love most to do, talk to an audience and talk about wrestling. I feel privileged that Talkspot allowed Dave and I to bring what I consider the best Internet wrestling talk show to computers worldwide, and that Power Bomb is going strong into the new millenium.
