More about Nam Wah Pai in TP
Mind, Body and Soul Preserverance, great determination, endurance, patience, strength, commitment don't just come after one night. By pitting ourselves against the very bare soul shall we gain the above virtues.

Many people think that training in wushu is just to feel good and get strong. But that is not all, we need to train the physical, moral and emotional self can we say we are true practitioners of any form of martial art.
Training is done at your own pace. Many beginners may find that training may be hard at first, but after a few months of determination and effort, it may be not all that difficult.

Training always start with stretching. Stretching is a very important exercise in any form of sports, not to say martial arts. Usually, it is solo stretching followed by assisted stretching.

Right after we would have our basic punching and kicking as a "warm-up". Upon completetion, we "warm-up" further with the kata, Gong Li Quan. Next comes self-defense techniques and practising of the execution of correct methods of blocking/punching/kicking. Often we would do 40 sit-ups, 40 push-ups and 4 sets of leg-lifts before going for a break.

When the break is over, assignment is made for the respective belts to practise kata. Once in a blue moon we get the chance to spar with one another. When the time approaches about 9.30pm, the green belts and above would assemble to practise Qigong.

That sums about all of a typical field day at training.

The grading system In Nam Wah Pai, we adopt the grading system, of which Black is the most senior, followed by:
Brown
Blue
Red

In order to advance to the next belt, we would have to pass a grading, which is qualified by our chief instructor. Grading comes about every 3 months.
