Val's other passion

In recent memory, no other  character has created as much controversy within the World Wrestling Federation as Val Venis. Val, an accomplished adult film star, stirs up much debate with his sexually orientated pre-match monologues, which is why it is  so surprising to learn that behind the scenes, Sean Morley (the young superstar who portrays the Big Valbowski) is actually very well versed in the subject of  politics - a characteristic which is not found very often in the world of adult film.

Growing up in Canada, the superstar always had an interest in politics. However, it wasn't until graduating high school that he really developed a passion for the topic.

"All through public school, I was taught by the government," commented Val about his early political views. "I was taught to rely on the government for  everything, including education and any other things that might come up in life. At the time, I never thought anything was wrong with it."

It wasn't until later that Val realized the views he was  being taught in school may not necessarily reflect the way in which he actually feels.

"In Canada, we have a socialist healthcare system. I came out of high school thinking we had the greatest healthcare system in the world," he admitted in a recent conversation.  "It wasn't until I started debating with conservatives who actually knew their stuff, that I began to see the other side. I began to see how the socialist health care system is actually a system which could destroy the country."

As the years passed, Val became more and more knowledgeable in the world of politics. As his level of knowledge increased, so did his passion. Finally, Val decided that it wasn't enough just talking about politics to the people around him, it was time to broaden his horizons. It was then that Val started his own newsletter.

"I started it because I wanted to know people's feelings on different issues that were hot at the time in Canada," said Val. "I wanted to know where certain people stood on certain issues."

Despite working a full-time schedule with the World Wrestling Federation, Val still finds the time to keep up with his newsletter. In fact, he has plans to turn the newsletter into a magazine or television show at some point. However, for now, Val is looking to create a website where people can discuss politics and view the newsletter.

Not only is Val committed to writing about politics in his newsletter, but he loves to talk about it as well. Unfortunately for Val, since joining the World Wrestling Federation, he has lost contact with some of the people he usually converses with - leaving him looking for new debate partners.

"Some people don't care about politics. They won't debate," commented Val. "They think they have other things to worry about. Even here in the World Wrestling Federation, there's only a few people who actually enjoy getting in debates with me. One is Al Snow and the other  is Prince Albert. The Rock likes his politics too, but I haven't gotten into too many debates with him."

As for Val Venis' future - he will undoubtedly be a bright  star here in the World Wrestling Federation for many years to come. However, don't expect him to run for office any time soon. He's going to leave that up to guys like Jesse Ventura and Jerry Lawler.
