Street Fighter Alpha 3 (PSX): Street Fighter is a game that i have been playing since the World Warrior days, and i must say that it never really gets tired. I think that it is the best fighting game around, and other fighting games only try to be it. Its got variety, depth, and skill involved to be good at it. The Alpha series is my favorite of the SF games personally, because its very deep and very simple at the same time. Alpha 3 is a game I anticipated for quite a long time to come out, and when it did i went and bought it immedietly. The PSX version, i feel, is better than the arcade in some aspects. First of all, there are more characters, one of which is Fei Long (he's awesome) and Guile which rounds up the original roster of world warriors.
Graphically, the game may not be as accurate as the arcade (then again which arcade to home translation is) but it is VERY good. Trust me on this one you won't be disappointed the graphics are sweet. The music is awesome in my opinion, and i think that Adons, Guys, and Ryus musics are awesome. As are the sound effects. Every fierce, roundhouse, and jab feels right. The control is perfect as always with Street Fighter games. Finally, the replay value is high cause after you unlock all the secrets, then you'll still be playing for hours on end.
This game is a little more complicated than the other SFA's were because each character has 3 different fighting styles. What i suggest is that when plying the game experiment with the different styles to find the one you're most comfortable with. X-ism is the simplest so i suggest if you're a novice player, start with X-ism and work your way up to A-ism, and V-ism.
So overall, this is a must have for fighting game fanatics that have a Playstation. Just one thing to mention here... Cody, Guy, Sodom, and Rolento are the biggest pieces of trailor park trash walking the face of God's green earth, they are bonafide jabronies (thats their collective name, the 4 Jabronies), and thats all i have to say about that! Otherwise, pick Adon, Sagat, Fei Long or Guile if you want to have fun and kick some ass! :)
