Let me introduce myself...
I am Matthew John Wandstrat, but my friends call me Matt, and then there is "Big Matt" and of course "Wando". It is all good. I am 35 years old and I live in Houston, Texas. I have lived in many places including California, Ohio, and Louisiana and I have yet to find another that is quite so fine. I am quite convinced that if you are good, when you die, you end up in Texas.
I have been working in the Petroleum Industry since my graduation in Petroleum Engineering from Marietta College in 1992. It has its ups and downs as those familiar with the industry well know, but it is quite interesting and I enjoy seeing where engineering meets Mother Nature. Most of the time she is predictable, but the other times is when I start having fun. I currently work for Baker Hughes INTEQ, check out my resume. I have been working more with computers and software recently which is good. I do not want to get too far away from operations though.
It has been announced that Houston once again has a football team. I think that is great and I love the name. The Houston Texans. Many thanks to Bob McNair for dropping the cash and bringing the NFL back to Houston. Now is the time to compete, the sky is the limit.
Let's not forget those 2005 National League Champion Houston Astros, Look out in 2006 they keep getting better!
