crazy
at first glance it appears that insanity overrules me but you are mistaken for in a world gone crazy how can one alone be crazy that would be illogical in a world of insanity only the sane remain standing alone for they are the insane they are the outcast and forever shall they be remembered that way for only the mad survive

The Sleeper
The sun rises and sets so fast,

What once was now is now the past.
The new day rises as the dawn breaks.
The sleeper rises and slowly wakes;
Refreshed and ready for come what may,
Living and loving to see the new day.
All his worries now not so deep,
As he arises from his sleep.
For as the sun rises and sets,
What once were memories he now forgets.
He only holds those close to his heart,
Those from which, he will never part.
For when he awakes what does he see?
The sky? The grass? A bird? A tree?
No, he sees only what he wishes to keep,
Forever in his dreams when he sleeps.

The Dreamer
As he settles in for a long nights sleep,
The dreamer wonders what promises the night will keep.
The thoughts that he holds most dear in his head,
He vividly lives them as he lay in bed.
The thoughts that he holds most dear in his heart,
He feels them so close, they will never part.
As the visions begin to collect in his brain,
An outside viewer might think him insane.
But the dreamer knows all that is real,
Not just the things you can touch, what you can feel.
The things he holds so close, so dear,
He can see them and feel them as if they were here.
But you see to him they really are,
He sees them not as silly or bizarre.
If you ever dream, you can feel this too,
The magic is right there inside of you.
Just try it and I'm sure you'll see what I mean,
When I say the best thing is after the dream.
For those things which you cherish in your heart,
Even after the dream, will never part.

The Field
The field is wide open, We run to get across. People fall on my left, People fall on my right. I continue to run, amidst all the fire and the smoke. I've almost made it. I can see the end. Then it strikes again and again, gripping and tearing. I fall in agony. I finally made it.

The Collision
The trains are moving steadily closer,
Gaining speed as they go.
They are moving faster now,
On a path towards collision.
They gather speed as the distance closes.
On board, passengers await in fright.
Children scream, ladies faint.
Collision is inevitable.
A sense of calm rushes over
Even as the train approaches.
It is coming.
I close my eyes and wait.
