The Coach
 
South Korea's national soccer coach, CHABUM-KEUN, is a veteran of Germany's Bundesliga and a former star player on South Korean national teams of the 1970s.  The 44-year old Cha has vowed to get the first victory of any South Korean team in France after four previous efforts in the World Cup.  Cha took over as head coach of the national team in January last year coming out of retirement after coaching a South Korean club, Ulsan Hyundai.  He played for Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga from 1979 to 1983 and for Bayer Leverkusen from 1983 to 1989 as a striker.  He played 308 games in his decade in the Bundesliga scoring 98 goals.  He was born on May 22 and is married with two sons and one daughter.
